Medieval Romance Bodice

Medieval Romance Bodice

Lord bless the Harlots and the Strumpets.

Inspired by the nosiest and most boisterous ladies in town, this punk style raw edge bodice top is made from deadstock upholstery velvet in a deep crushed purple with a flared waist. Part lined with leftover fabric, Back lacing and boning support at the bust, the bodice can be worn on its own or as a layering piece.

Made to order in sizes xsmall to xlarge, please refer to the general size guide for references, model is wearing a size small and is a uk 8-10.

If you want to wear it as a tight corset I’d suggest sizing down, or it fits more as a structured bodice.

Orders take 1-2 weeks for manufacture, plus shipping times, due to Covid there are expected delays, so if you want to receive the item before valentines day, I would suggest ordering early to avoid disappointment.

  • Care info

Dryclean or Hand wash only, use a gentle handwash soap or dissolve a washing tablet in warm water and hang out in a ventilated area to dry.

Do not tumble dry or iron the product, I use plastic boning and heat may melt the plastic.

To best preserve the shape of the corset either hang up or lay the garment flat when storing.

Sizing guide

To find the best size for you, please use the measurements below to inform your choices.

For corsets I recommend measuring your bust (over the nipples) and waist (smallest part of your waist/around the belly button), and if you fall in-between sizes, choosing a size down to achieve the tight look, the lacing means it can fit larger.

If your bust fits into one size but waist fits into another I would suggest using your waist measurement as the shaping on the bust allows for large or smaller sizes and still allows for support.  If you have a larger bust or are worried you can always add a note and I’ll try to adjust the pattern as best I can.

Xsmall - Bust 28” - 31” Waist 22” - 25”

Small - Bust 32”- 35” Waist 26”- 29”

Medium - Bust 36” - 39” Waist 30” - 33”

Large - Bust 40” - 42”  Waist 34” - 37”

Xlarge - Bust 43” - 45” Waist 38” - 41”

Currently my sizes go up to a Xlarge but if you require a larger size please use the contact form with your measurements and I can make a custom order for you, I won’t charge extra but it may add a few days onto the production wait time to grade the patterns.

For tops, skirts and other garments I use a standardised uk measurements.
